The three en suite rooms are set apart, so privacy is ensured. For the comfort of guests each room has their own television. Breakfast is served in the dining room, complete with local produce, and surrounded with superb views of the bay. The large lounge room is equipped with comfortable furniture, reading material, telescope, and an open fire. You will meet two very friendly Irish Wolfhounds who will love your company, meet the chooks who cackle away to each other. Venture into the studio tucked away in the corner of the garden where the owner has her very own space- a ceramicists studio.
her work is unique, and the art work is featured in many homes around Victoria. You can also purchase home made jams and chutneys when seasonal, and if the chooks are really content free range eggs.
If you like to stretch your legs further, venture out past the front gate onto Scotchmans Road, and walk 500 metres down to Scotchmans Hill Vineyard, where you can sample the award winning wines in the comfort of the restored Art Deco house.
Bay Cottage
The Esplanade, Portarlington
Looking for a quiet relaxing holiday place, then Bay Cottage is the answer.
Located on the Esplanade this delightful pink coloured cottage can sleep up to nine people. The front double bedroom is framed with pink Hibiscus that draws the outside world in. You can lie in bed and watch the ships pass by. The lounge dining area is spacious enough for a large group, and offers an atmosphere for smaller groups as well. It has a TV, small Sound System, and offers a selection of reading material.
Do not be deceived by the size, the house extends out the back with more sleeping and living space.
Outside is an undercover BBQ, with a small yard that offers some shelter from the sun. The large deck area at the front of the house is great for outdoor dining, reading, relaxing, and wave to Melbourne across the Bay, or just watch the black swans and pelicans drift by. While the ambience is provided you will need to supply your own linen.
Nearby is a small boat ramp, built and maintained by the locals. However, launching your boat depends on the tides, so check with the locals first. Sea Cottage has everything for the ideal holiday.
For those who like to ride the bike track is literally at the front door.
The track heads all the way to St Leonards in one direction and Portarlington in the other-yes! Its quite flat.

off road, and safe for beginners. 
The track is suitable for some wheelchairs, but you are very safe traveling on the road.
